A fond helio and I like that song

When I started the original Dichotomy of Epiphany in Nov. of 06 (I believe) the sole purpose was to simply share music and see how far the medium could sustain my interest. As a long time musician, artist and desolation angel- I began to be slightly dismayed by alarming trend of people sharing more and more full albums for the sole purpose of cash links or the sheer intent to just give music away. I grew up in an era of the mix tape-Where every second of tape had to be accounted for along with ingenious movie dialog, found sound and what have you. Along with filling every second of tape space; the creation of both play list and inner sleeve was of the utmost importance, because no one is going to really listen to the tape unless you force(d) them to be engaged in way that immediately impacted them and called out to them like sirens on the shore bank...just waiting to shipwreck them for the entire 120 minutes. I miss those times which held a certain charm due to the infancy of the internet and rapid technology sprawl that inundates our lives every second of every nanosecond. Do not get me wrong I have been on a computer since the very first apples rolled into school (about 83 for me-same year as double nickels...from the minutemen-both had huge impacts) I am very much at the intersection of technology and humanity wanting nothing more then to study these boundaries and how the effect us all--we are almost about to cross a threshold of Artificial Intelligence...we are becoming something other then human-I cognitively comprehend this every time my 2& 1/2 year old navigates his way around the internet searching for more and more wiggles songs an other glossy childhood paraphernalia which abounds across the matrix. I have decided to try and use this blog to its fullest potential and explore all the intersections of my life with a very antiquated view of how to connect and interact with people through this vast sludging wireopolis of fleshbox meets mechanical box...with that in mind you will find many things here including: 120 minutes of music sometimes, book reviews, rants, news links and nothing but code....I look forward to shaking interfaces with you soon-and if you remember us from the old days...say hello
see you full throttle very soon
